1. The agreement

These Terms form a binding agreement between BuiltWright SoftWorks ("we") and you ("you"). By installing, accessing, or purchasing BuiltWright, you accept these Terms.

If you are purchasing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind that company to these Terms.

2. License grant

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the BuiltWright Android app for your business, for as many admin and crew seats as you have purchased. Seats belong to the account rather than to a named individual, and may be reassigned as your crew changes.

You may not resell, sublicense, or host the software as a service.

3. Ownership

We own the software and all related intellectual property. You own your business data. These Terms do not transfer ownership of either.

4. Offline and sync

The app is offline-first and fully usable without internet. When sync is enabled, data is transmitted and stored with our cloud provider solely to provide sync, backup, and update functionality. The account owner controls whether automatic sync runs. Crew members on an account sync as part of that account.

Some optional features send additional data when you switch them on, and each says so at the point you enable it. Those switches are off unless you turn them on.

5. Updates

Improvements to the app you bought are included with your purchase, for as long as we are building it. The app checks for signed update packages and tells you when one is available. Most updates are yours to install when you choose. Some may be marked critical and required for security or data integrity, and the app will require a backup before installing one.

Separately named companion products are not updates and are sold on their own terms. Nothing already included in your license will be moved behind a new charge.

6. Payment and refunds

Pricing is listed on the Pricing page. Applicable taxes may apply. Where early adopter pricing is offered, it attaches to your account rather than to a single transaction: seats you add later remain at the price your account came in at.

If a refund is issued, your license terminates and you must uninstall the software. Your local business data remains yours. Export it before uninstalling.

7. Privacy

We do not run ads. We do not sell your data. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect when sync or update checks are enabled, and why. The short version: as little as possible, and only to make the app work.

8. Recordkeeping features

Features that help you store certifications, licenses, hours, or job records are tools for keeping your own documentation. They do not constitute legal advice and they do not guarantee compliance with any regulation. You remain responsible for knowing what applies to your work and for keeping what the law requires.

9. Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the software. Do not interfere with update signatures or security controls. Do not use the software for anything unlawful.

10. Support

We provide support via builtwrightapp@gmail.com. Response times may vary depending on volume and complexity, but we aim to be responsive and helpful.

11. Warranties and liability

BuiltWright is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit our liability for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.

12. Termination

You may stop using the software at any time. We may terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, such as piracy or circumventing security controls. Upon termination, uninstall the software. Your local business data remains yours.

13. Beta software

BuiltWright is currently in beta. It is functional and in daily use, but it is prerelease software and may contain defects. Keep backups. The app takes them automatically and provides a recovery key, and we recommend you keep that key somewhere safe and separate from your phone.

14. Tester licenses

Licenses issued through the tester program are full perpetual licenses at no cost, granted in exchange for using the app on real work and reporting what you find. Feedback, bug reports, and suggestions you send us may be used to improve the software without obligation or compensation. A tester license does not expire when the beta ends.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Missouri without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, unless you choose small-claims court in your jurisdiction.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms for clarity, security, or to reflect new features. When we do, we will update the date at the top and post the new version here. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
