Roadmap
Where BuiltWright is headed.
BuiltWright is actively being developed. The core is built and heading into beta, but there is a lot more coming. Everything on this page is included in your one-time purchase. No add-on fees. No premium tiers. When it ships, it is yours.
Beta launch preparation
The core app is built. Sync and the update system are done. These are the final pieces being finished before the beta opens.
Interactive demo mode
A full read-only demo with seeded data so you can explore every screen before purchasing. No account required.
Account and entitlement system
Purchase on the website, log in on the app, and your license activates. Works offline after the first login.
Security hardening and bug fixes
Final pass on input validation, edge case handling, and field testing before the beta opens to real users on real job sites.
Onboarding flow
Guided setup that walks you through entering your business info, setting your rates, and configuring the app to match your workflow.
Money tracking and field operations
The features that turn BuiltWright from a job management tool into a full business operations platform.
Expense and deduction tracking
Log business expenses by category with receipt attachments, recurring entries, and business-use percentages. Feed directly into your finances.
Mileage tracker
Start a trip, link it to a customer and job, record odometer readings, and auto-calculate deductions using your set rate. Arrival nudge reminds you to end the trip.
Solo time clock
Clock in and out per job with break tracking, mileage coordination, and persistent timers. Your hours feed into job profitability reports.
Financial dashboard
Income, expenses, deductions, estimated taxes, and net profit in one place. Cash or accrual basis. Mileage and expense totals roll up automatically.
Scheduling and calendar
Schedule site visits and work blocks. Day-at-a-glance view, month calendar, and local notifications for upcoming appointments.
CPA-ready exports
Generate financial summary packets with P&L, deduction breakdowns, mileage summaries, and receipt indexes. Hand it to your tax preparer and be done.
Crew, takeoffs, and the admin hub
The features that take BuiltWright from a solo contractor tool to a platform that scales with your business and adapts to your trade.
Crew management
Add crew members, assign them to jobs by specialty, manage schedules, and track time. Boss and crew seats with role-based access. Crew does not pay.
Admin hub (desktop)
A desktop companion for managing your business from a full-size screen. Scope authoring, calendar, timesheet approvals, finances, and crew management. Same data, bigger workspace.
MeasureWright (blueprint takeoffs)
Upload PDF blueprints, set the scale, and measure linear footage, square footage, and material counts directly from the drawing. Color-coded checklists track what you have measured. Generates cost reports from your takeoff list. Included with the admin hub.
Barcode scanning for purchases
Scan UPC codes in the aisle to create or update material entries. At purchase time, scan items to auto-fill line items. Just confirm the quantity and save.
Receipt scanning
Photograph a receipt and let the app extract vendor, date, totals, and line items. Review, assign to jobs, and save. Manual entry always available as a fallback.
Job profitability reports
See revenue versus actual costs per job with labor, materials, and overhead broken out. Know which jobs made money and which ones didn't.
Recurring service modules
Route management, recurring schedules, and frequency-based pricing for service trades like cleaning, lawn care, pool maintenance, and mobile detailing.
iOS version
BuiltWright is Android-first. An iOS version will follow once the Android platform is stable and demand supports it.
Built for finish carpentry. Designed for every trade.
BuiltWright started in finish carpentry because that is the trade I know. But the workflow is universal. If you estimate work, buy materials, invoice customers, and track expenses, this app is built for you.
Every feature on this page is included in your purchase. Always.
When I ship a new feature, it goes to every user who owns BuiltWright. There are no premium upgrades, no feature unlocks, and no surprise charges. You bought the app. You get everything that comes with it. That is the deal, and it will not change.
