Flooring Installation Cost Estimator — Live Demo
This is a working example of a custom flooring estimator built for demo purposes. Add each room, select your floor type: LVP, hardwood, or carpet, and enter your dimensions. The calculator handles removal, subfloor prep, padding, tack strips, and transitions as separate line items, then breaks the estimate down room by room. Pricing reflects national labor averages. Your version would use your actual rates.

Want an estimator like this for your business?
This is a working demo. Your version uses your real rates for every material, your removal and prep pricing, and your branding, and sends estimate emails to your customers automatically. It filters out tire-kickers so you spend your time measuring jobs that actually book.
See how it worksCommon questions
Can I use my own pricing?
Yes. The demo uses national labor averages as placeholders, but your version runs on your rates. Install price per square foot by material, removal rates, prep and leveling, transitions, however you price flooring work. The math is built around your business, not a generic template.
How do the estimate emails work?
When someone finishes an estimate, the tool emails them a branded breakdown by room, and sends you a notification with their contact info and everything they entered. You can see both sides in this demo by submitting your own email. Every lead arrives with the job scope already filled in, so you know the size of the work before you pick up the phone.
What flooring types does it handle?
The demo covers LVP, hardwood, and carpet, each with its own labor rate and options. Carpet includes padding choices and tack strip pricing for wood or concrete subfloors. It also handles existing floor removal by type, subfloor prep, and transition strips. A custom build can add tile, sheet vinyl, or any material you install, with your own rates for each.
How does this help me filter out tire-kickers?
People just pricing a daydream rarely fill out a full room-by-room estimate and hand over their contact info. The ones who do are serious. Giving them a ballpark up front also sets expectations on price, so the people who call already know the range. You spend less time measuring jobs that were never going to book.
How is this different from a generic estimating app?
Most estimating apps are built for the contractor to use in the office. This is built for your customer to use on your website, as a lead-generation front end. It was built by a working finish carpenter for his own business first, not by a software company guessing at what trades need. It does one job well: turn a website visitor into a qualified lead with a real number attached.
Does the estimate account for waste?
Yes. The flooring demo adds a 10 percent waste factor to every room's square footage automatically, since real installs always need extra material for cuts, layout, and mistakes. Pricing labor on the raw floor area alone would come in low. Your custom version can use whatever waste percentage matches your material and your process.
